QuickBooks, recognized as the leading software used by firms with sales of up to $5 million, helps to record revenues, maintain pledges, track expenses, provide more cash to pay bills, and update progress payments to more accurately update grants.
Participants will learn how to improve the performance of their organization by utilizing Intuit QuickBooks. The workshop provides the basis for installing and setting up QuickBooks and augmenting an organization’s bookkeeping requirements.
Geared to addressing the needs of nonprofit organizations, course topics will include an introduction to financial management concepts and principles of fund accounting; setup of the Uniform chart of accounts; the use of sub-ledgers: accounts payable, accounts receivables/pledge maintenance and the general ledger; on-line bank accounts and the integration of payroll.
Participants will learn how to setup a Uniform chart of accounts, create invoices and write checks, manage payables and pledges, set-up and use online banking services, and customize financial statements.
